Iain and I had planned on a day to check out some possible winter routes for nineonesix-guiding clients. Today certainly would provide an exhilarating traverse on snow, steeper mixed ground and finishing with brilliant grade II pitches on Torridonian quartzite. We had carefully followed the conditions and weather with something high being the order of the day. Iain and I were not disappointed as once we reached 750m things started to firm up. With a mixture of soloing and short pitches we were on the summit of Sail Mhor, 981m for lunch before a leisurely descent to check out conditions in Coire Mhic Fhearchair.
If you are up in the Highlands over the Festive period get in touch, I am sure we can make it happen!
