Cracking Conditions for Cairngorm Climbing

Regular clients Malcolm and Tara were out today with Ian, keen to add another sport to their long list. Having done some summer climbing a lot of winter walking, and some alpine glacial trekking all that was missing was some Scottish Winter climbing!

We went into Coire an t’sneachda and started up Central Gully, before moving across onto the rocky rib to its left to give some mixed climbing. We then descended the Goat Track and Climbed Goat Track Gully, finding it really filled in with good snow, straight-forward grade II climbing, but all day gear was hard to find in icy cracks buried under the snow.

Conditions are brilliant, we even got some blue sky, I think the guys might just be hooked on another new sport!
