I knew it would be hard to beat Joanna and Brent’s walk through from Achnashellach Station to the Ling hut. The only place which could compete was Coire Mhic Fhearchair, it is a magical place which never fails to impress, so on Wednesday morning we made our way in past the stepping stones to the Coire. Today was much colder and winder than yesterday and we were all happy to return by the same route rather than expose ourselves to the summit winds and temperatures.
For Joanna and Brent’s final day they decided on the coastal walk from Inveralligin to Diabaig. Although low level the walk is quite wild and has some fantastic views and situations. The weather had improved from yesterday and we were bathed in weak autumn sunshine as we made our way along the rough path. We completed the walk just after 2pm which allowed us to go rock climbing just 2 min from the road on the way back to Torridon. This was excellent experience for Brent who had just started going to an indoor climbing wall, Joanna also enjoyed the experience and practically ran up the route.
