Joanna and Brent have just had a fantastic three days of walking and scrambling with NINEONESIX guiding in Torridon and the good news is they still have two days to go.
Day one started with the ascent of Beinn na-h-Eaglaise from the Beinn Damh path. Being a bit lower and further west we managed to avoid all the cloud and sun screen was the order of the day. We returned by the east side of Beinn na-h-Eaglaise to Annet
Day two and their sights were set higher. We headed for Beinn Alligin. Drizzle and a cloud covered summit didn’t dampen their sprits and before we had reached the second bridge the sun came out and the last of the mist left the tops. The couple had no problems scrambling over the horns and by 2 pm we were on the summit of Sgurr Mor with the fantastic high level walk to Tom na Gruagaich in front of us.
Day three was a sore leg day so we decided to make things a little easier, though no less spectacular with the amazing walk through from Achnashellach Station to the Ling hut in Glen Torridon. The views were outstanding, particularly the panorama of Beinn Alligin, Liathach and Beinn Eighe from the head of Coire Lair, from where they appear as one long ridge. Joanna and Brent now have a morning coastal walk and an afternoons rock climbing to look forward to for tomorrow.
