‘Blown Away’ by Liathach

Today the first of the autumn/winter storms is blowing through the glen at full force, with heavy rain and 80 mile per hour winds on the summits, but yesterday it was for a very different reason that Margaret and Liar were ‘blown away’ by a day out on Liathach.

Having visited the area several times the girls were keen to get in to the mountains, so we headed for Liathach. The glimpses of views through the clouds as we climbed up onto the ridge made the effort well worth it, then the fun of the scrambling across the pinnacles topped an amazing day. Even a long descent back to the car couldn’t shrink the grins.
