Training for ‘the Mudder’…

Today nineonesix-guiding  was guiding Jennifer from New Jersey whose main reason for Visiting Scotland is to compete in the Tough Mudder, a crazy event in the south of Scotland.

We decided that Beinn Eighe would make the perfect last training day before Jennifer’s event. With overcast skies and clagged mountain tops we headed into Coire Mhic Fhearchair past the Lancaster memorial and up to the bad step. Jennifer had no problems negotiating the difficulties of the Beinn Eighe ridge and as the cloud had now lifted she was blown away by the splendour and magnificence of the Torridon landscapes. I don’t think I’ve ever had a client take so many photos or be so entranced by the unfolding views. The highlight of the day was trying to persuade a massive stag to move off the path armed with only a trekking pole and Jennifer’s encouragement. Good luck with the Tough Mudder Jen, hope to see you back in the Highlands for more adventures. Thanks for a superb day full of laughs.
