Today I had the pleasure of helping Ruth take a few more steps towards her Munro Compleation. Ruth was joined by her walking group companion Graham for a classic traverse of Liathach. My pal Andy joined us to gain some experience of leading clients in the mountains. Unlike last weekend the temperatures were kind to us and our ascent of ‘three half hours’ to the ridge was not too hot. Once on the ridge Ruth and Graham’s hill strong hill walking experience was obvious and the rope was only need on the ‘wee tower’. Our traverse took just over seven hours with even the car-juggling and road walk working out perfectly! This was Ruth’s fourth, or fifth attempt on Liathach and at last her jinx is lifted!
Ian and Jim are guiding Meall Dearg and The Northern Pinnacles tomorrow.
Watch out for Ian’s post on his day out with return client Catherine on Beinn Eighe.
