Myself and Ian were out mountain biking on the Applecross Penninsula today.  We did part of the ‘hidden gem’ route which goes from Kenmore, over the hill and down towards the beach near Applecross.  The full route is 32km. but today we did the best of it which gave just over 15km of superb biking up to an altitude of 270m.  A wonderful contrast to the more technical routes in Torridon.  Both Ian and Jim are Trail Cycle Leaders and nineonesix-guiding hopes to offer clients even more exciting adventurures as we add the Mountain Bike Leader Award to our qualidications in 2012.

Next weekend myself and my Pete from OMM are taking part in the Tour de Ben Nevis, I hope everything goes as smoothly as today…
