Today I was running a half day climbing and abseiling session for John Shearer as part of his Highland Council Summer Programme. The four children who came down to Shieldaig were all keen to try out some of their indoor skills on some real rock. Everyone did two or three climbs on the 20m slab, three abseils – included a stacked one on their own and finally some bouldering on the excellent Lewisian Gneiss nearby. Well done to all of them for their good spirit, determination and consideration for one another. More climbing and mountain biking next week!
