Today I was working for Martin Moran to provide a day of winter skills and mountaineering for 4 members of Wessex Mountaineering Club.
Viven, Dan, Alan and James had fantastic conditions in Coire an Laoigh of Beinn Eighe. We reached the corrie quickly and were able to practice and revise using the boot as a tool, self-belay & self-arrest before moving onto cramponing. The ascent of the headwall was spectacular and all four of the group were given the opportunity to choose the route, supported by Jim. The strong southerly wind on the ridge called for the group to rope up before reaching the Munro. On the way down we practiced some more rope techniques before a more leisurely look at buried ice axe belays in the sun.
Well done to these four very able clients and we look forward to hearing what you get up to this week and of course, perhaps seeing you back with Moran-Mountaineering again!
