fun in the sun

This morning I noticed that the tiered crag behind Shieldaig primary school has started to ice up quite nicely in the sun.  The 3000 million year old Lewisian Gneiss provided clean slabs and cracks to balance and torque up.

Winter skills, mountaineering and climbing courses are booked in, planned and still available for clients right through the winter.  We will be guiding and instructing clients here in Torridon; The Cairngorms, Ben Nevis, Glencoe and wherever else the conditions are excellent!

Why not visit the nineonesix – guiding website, check out our winter page and arrange your own ‘fun in the sun’.

  1. Hey Jim

Thanks for the link and I love the ‘extreme close up’ of the ice crystals. It was amazing while the cold lasted. Wonder how life is at that wee cottage you used to stay at when the water froze on you?

    bye for now
