Just when the first snow of the year had been forecast summer has hit back!! Just in time for two amazing days on An Teallach and Liathach.
On An Teallach on Monday we completed a full horseshoe, taking in the ‘bad step’ and the scrambling across to Lord Berkley’s seat in amazing conditions, with 360 degree views of the Fisherfield Munros to the south and all the way up to the Summer Isles and Sulliven in the north.
Tuesday was another adventurous day with a very full traverse of Liathach. We started by heading round the back into Corie na Caime and then up onto Meal Dearg for some untracked wild scrambling, the Northwest Highlands at their best!! A climb up the Northern Pinnacles saw us up on the summit of Mullach an Rathain to join the main ridge traverse back to the eastern end of the ridge and a steep descent back to the car nine hours after we left it!!
