Ruadh-stac Mor

Alasdair & Nevin on Ruadh-stac Mor, Torridon

Alasdair & Nevin showed determination, safety and skill today on their ascent of Ruadh-stac Mor, 1010m on Beinn Eighe.

As forecast the cloud never lifted, the rain barely stopped and the wind picked up.

In Coire Mhic Fhearchair route finding skills were discussed on the approach to the ‘easy way’ up to the wind swept plateau.  Once there a quick bearing and some pacing got us the summit for all of 2 minutes!  Timekeeping was important today as if we had been an hour or two later we might still be trying to ford the river…

Check out the nineonesix gallery for a sighting of the ‘Coire Dubh Panther’.
