To continue with the theme for the start of the week, the weather for the remainder was not too good, but not too bad!! Tuesday saw tired legs making their way up to An Doris for a quick ascent of both Sgurr a Mhadaidh and Sgurr a’Ghreadaidh, taking our time over the wet slabs, and down to a well deserved day off!
With rested legs the team headed up Sgurr na Banachdich at lightening pace, and were almost tempted to head out towards Elgol to bag Bla Bheinn that afternoon!! Fortunately common sense prevailed and the legs were saved for a final big day on friday when we were aiming to complete the main ridge munros. We started up and then down the west ridge of Sgurr nan Gillean, with Graham and Caroline enjoying the challenge of the climb and exposed step to gain the ridge. All that remained was a trip up and down Am Bhasteir and Bruach na Frithe to complete the week, 11 skye munros in 5 days, when the weather had other ideas, a great effort guys!!
And I thought I would add a picture to show the views we missed!!
